Success! Etsy Artisans and West Elm Event on December 1, 2011

We certainly had a lot of fun on Thursday.  Crafting, laughing and meeting local Etsy shop owners as well as Etsy shoppers and fans at the Etsy & West Elm event held on December 1, 2011.

Shoppers has a blast creating origami ornaments and decorating. We had children, adults and even a little 4-legged crafter stop by the table to give it a go.  We were able to promote Etsy and our team to all who expressed interested.  For a look at the promo items we gave out check out our previous blog post.
I attempted to snap a few decent shots with my camera between paper folding and stamping (stay tuned for more photo contributions):
Thanks to all of the volunteers that made it a success.
Just a little shout-out to those girls:
Lisa Cuerdon of StampedBoutique (You wowed us with your paper folding expertise!)
Sarah Brown of LilMissSamari (Also representing the SDCA of Etsy Team. A big thanks for helping recruit last minute volunteers!)
Leslie Smith of 925Maille (Thanks for driving all the way down and greeting everyone with your beautiful smile!)
Pam Jongs of VintageRenude (Thanks for helping with setting up the table and distributing supplies as soon as you arrived).
And Myself, Kila Rohner of Go2Girl

West Elm made it a very warm and welcoming event with hot cocoa and mini cupcakes for shoppers, charity events and 5 of our local Etsy Shop owners were invited to sell their creations during the Handmade Holiday Workshop.
These Shops were: HandyMaiden (Note the awesome "we love handmade" in chalk on sculptures in the photo below!), TheLoveStitch, RedStarInk, NaiadSoapArts and AVintageObsession .  They all fit so well with the West Elm shop.  A few more photos:

We had a few Etsy fans stop in to and visit with us along with visiting "Etsians" and sisters Joanna Weiner and Robin Barrett of CitySistersShop.

All in all it was a great event and I think everyone left with smiles on their faces and a bit of ink on their hands.
Can't wait to meet more of our local artists and crafters at the next event!
